No i built on a s3 1971 chassis a td5 the Original HD springs well at front but 101 springs on the back, She's a defender td5 running gear and engine, Axles are series and that was a bitch to do really she was, just sold her MOT'D and new t-disk, never welded and never need it, station wagon £6,550 gone to a new home yorkshire
was it on a Q plate?

its got a td5 so no points for engine susprension is 101 leafs on the reas so no points for that transmission would be td5 so no points

mis read that, assuming the body is the same itwill get away without it.

strangly the body has no impact on needing a plate change or iva as it has a chassis the body is free to be changed (providing it can come under the original description i.e. no of doors etc)

now if it was a 'unitbody' it would need an iva

I thought everybody knows what a Routemaster is. My wife knows even though she knows very little about vehicles.

chassis or body shell (body and chassis as one unit - monocoque ie direct replacement from the manufacturer) (original or new) = 5 points

bit in red refers to the bit in bloo

iv'e got my mate and he remember's it all to well,

right what i had was a 2625 s3 lwb 1971, 101 springs on the back, i kept the body as she was though i did have to move rad and housing forward by just 33mm, the mounts were changed for TD5, gearbox LT77 with bell housing made by engineer for me with all the bits specially made to fit £1100 for that by the way, the top was canvass mating to truck-cab, 110 tub (hicap) was made to be altered to accept series lights and storage box's (MOD), the plate retained her K-REG 1971, the landy still looked a s3 but the axles i dont even want to go there the engineering in that was mad and dad ended up charging me for it,

wheels were wolf, props went on extention, kept the split screen and all the bits to make it a s3 with OBVIOUSLY a 110 hicap back and td5, then stuck an original series gear knob on. so yeh that was it really oh and then changed to the booster alloy's and that was a mistake as a land rover with alloy's that was an insualt and assualt and babe wherever you are now i hope you have forgiven me for that and i still love you!!!!

xx

Yes, i hated her on alloy's, so she went to wolfs off of a land rover 90 wolf, But tyre's went onto 900R16 bar tread in the end then when they died after 5500 miles,

She went onto 42" combine tyres and wheels, as i couldnt get them onto the wolfs (bastard)

Yes, ye olde London town hop on/off buses.. unrollable.. still going, but not in service, much like a series :D ..
