Hi I'm David..
I just purchased my first 4x4
It's a 51plate Land Rover country auto 2.5td
The roof lining has started to sag towards the back, the front diff has disintegrated, fuel filler flap will not open and the air suspension is at Max reach but she appears to ride well. Mot has about 4months left over half tank of diesel and 6 months tax all this for the costly some of £600. Electrics I.e windows, lights, mirrors and central locking any advice tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading..

Haha. Hope you have a good secure place to start work on it. It's a good project so stick some pics up please. For the price of six months in Benidorm you've got a lifetime of being a full-time carer!

Just to add a boring bit - are you sure about the road tax? I thought it wasn't transferable these days.

I'm pretty sure it isn't transferable. Previous owner would recieve a refund for the remaining months and you'd be expected to re-tax it.

Deffo no road tax attached to the vehicle.
You MUST tax it yourself rules changed

When the log book gets transferred to my name. I think I had one of them moments but thanks for a reply .
