hi folks having several issues with a 95 300tdi disco its the es model drives like a dream several battle scars but it does the job intended 100
% just overheating probs have nearly pushed me to take a sledgehammer to it

so far it has had new 3 way valve thermostat expansion tank cap replacement radiator new water pump full coolant system drain and flush.about 18 months ago it had hg replaced head was skimmed new head bolts truck had only covered 6000 miles before i bought it so hg doesnt sound like its the problem has anyone else had similar?it has been suggested the block is porous. im at wits end because heater blows hot and cold sometimes system works ok other times pressure bulids up have had a cream expansion tank split yesterday

sounds like a possible cracked head, was it skimmed and presure tested when head gasket was done?

im not sure only info i got was it had been skimmed apparently the head was taken off a doner truck which was running ok at the time i have a similar set up now have the change to have head from a burnt out truck which was running ok been told no need to skim replacement

this engine has had 5 bottles of steelseal through it with injector 2 out that was the pot that threw air straight up to expansion tank full flush out k seal in there now worked perfect for 12 miles then boiled up again
