I have a 06 td4 freelander 1 it’s developed an intermittent noise only when the car is under load. The car will judder and make the noise then drives completely normally this only seems to happen if your trying pull away fast or gain speed. The cars not got the best of power but after a new maf sensor does seem to be better but not great. I’ve attached a link of the noise it’s really bizarre and googles a minefield.

Sounds like unintentional contact between components and the body.
I'd check the lower tie bar bush for wear and softening.

Great thanks I’ve been told it sounds like an injector so I’ll definitely have a look at that. I’ve got a new one in the shed so that would be a much cheaper fix!

An injector makes less noise than the engine it's fitted to. Definitely sounds like unintended contact between components on the vehicle.

Possible rear diff mount, there's 3 and the front one fails normally.
Being under load means the extra force has to go somewhere.
