Hey guys,

So my disco 2 leaks fuel intermittently, as far as i can tell it happens for 30 secs or so after startup, and drips down from the bell housing onto the road. I’m 99% confident its coming from the FPR (I stuffed a paper towel down there and it came back soaked).

After 30 seconds or so the ‘leak’ disappears completely. She runs fine and starts after first crank.

Any ideas?

Do we think replacing the FPR should fix this? Or could the problem lie elsewhere?

The fuel pump is quite loud and continues whirring for a while after the car is idling.

Perhaps a build up of fuel pressure in the system upon start up, which the FPR is releasing? I don’t have a detailed understanding of how the fuel delivery system works, so I’m using my imagination a little..

Cheers,

Robb
