hi there all, help and advice please.freelander td4 2006when engine running on cold miss firing arounld 2000rpm. fine when hot.plus car runs fine for about 50kms and then starts to lose power pulling away plus light throttle lose power again,put my boot down big puff of black smoke and goes great. all vac pipes ok but intercooler pipes are soft with oil on outside but can see no splits on them

Lots of threads/advice on here about that problem, have a read up but think most point to a filter under the plastic engine cover.
 
If you turbo hoses are soft, they probably need replacing, they should be fairly rigid. If they expand due to being soft then your turbo isn't working efficiently. This makes your engine work overly hard.
Sounds like you could do with a big dose of injector cleaner to.
Clean your MAF sensor, next to the airbox with contact cleaner.
As for the misfire at 2000rpm, this is not uncommon.
I would clean the EGR valve and your manifold.

thanks all ,new engine breather to plus erg valve cleaned plus maf cleaned, new inter cooler pipes ordered and will get some injector cleaner. will come back with results soon thanks again everyone
