I recently replied to thread with similar theme http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/trim-plastics-colouring-199664.html

Some of my wood veneer is missing so I was going to use vinyl wrap. You can get wood veneer look, brushed aluminum, carbon fibre, various colours including gloss black etc. I've just ordered a sample pack of Fleebay:- 3M Di-Noc Carbon Fibre Vinyl Sample 10 Pieces 5cm x 5cm | eBay

Also, my leather on the edge of the seat is slightly worn. I am about to redo with a leather re-colour kit from: www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Leather_Colourant_Kit.php

You can re-colour leather and vinyl plastic etc. Most vinyl & leather paints need a adhesion promoter. This company offers that plus Hycote do one as well.

I can't find my little bottles of liquid leather that I used but I had to tell the supplier veh make/model /leather colour. They then sent were 2 bottles of cream/beige, one dark, one light and a bottle of white. Which with a little experimenting gets the paint to the exact colour needed. I used it on my driver's armrest and had great results. I bought it off ebay and got the whole thing for less than £10.
Now annoyed that bI can't find it, so off to tear things out of the cupboard

Thats interesting. I've been looking for a while for the right kit. I never realized leather was painted/coated like this.

I read you could recolour your seats, steering wheel, to a different colour.

Post the link if you find it - ta.:beer2:

Can't find the damn stuff but it will turn up when I'm not looking. The whole kit was approx 150ml , 3x50ml paints, with 1 small sponge and instructions. A search on ebay isn't showing the exact one but there are loads like it. I know it's a bit of a slog but look on ebay , UK only and seller who gives a link to veh type and colour. I'll keep checking the drawers and cupboards in the meantime :D

Nice one eloteq. looks good, will send off for samples myself as it may be an easier option to painting. couldn't see a plain gloss black though only carbon.

eloteq your a star. Sending off for a 50 x 50 sheet tonight to try. If all ok will buy enough to do the rest of the trim.
Now, where can I get that star pointy thing like in the Linley ;)

Got loads of mods to do to mine but it's finding the time, and the weather is turning against us.

So far I've change interior bulbs to white LED's, the black handbrake gaitor for a leather lightstone one, also just added a Steering wheel with radio controls as these were not fitted on the Diesel 2.5 DSE. I bought the steering wheel & rotary coupler off Ebay & asked the breaker to include the radio wiring just in case. On fitting the wheel I noticed the rotary coupler was the same as mine but my wiring to the radio had a wire/pin missing from the grey ISO plug, and on the steering wheel wire,a pin/wire was missing. I removed the pin/wire from the breaker ones & connected to my radio and hey presto it work. So Land Rover for £45K missed out one wire.

Is this shiny enough?

Chrome Wrap.

I see from your profile your in Walsall, lived in Norton Canes for donkey's years before moving to the West Country.
A few thing on my list of to do's as well, but as you say the weather is changing fast. Not that we had a summer to shout about.

Are there any guides for removing the trim? I have proper f**ked trim in the past when removing for painting etc...

I am planning on Plasti-Dip for my trim though. Removable with ease if required.

suppose RAVE is the best source of info, unless someone on here has piccies of the same

Small World Tony. Yeah bought up Great Wyrley - had friends in Norton Canes. I see you are in Taunton Somerset. We holiday every year in Somerset - have done for years.

I've been working on Rangie off & on since buying in February.

Had problems with running, warning messages, Tramlining, bump steer, death wobbles etc. Hopefully getting there now. I work on the principle that it's done 150k, so things are ready for overhaul. I recently did my panhard bushes, drag & track links, steering box adjustment, front prop shaft, new Terrafirma shock, n/s wheel bearing etc. This has cured allot of the problems.

Now I've got me some new OEM rubber radius arm bushes to fit as the ones on are soft blue poly****e. Also got a set of vented front brake discs & solid rear; I have a vibration in the car over 75mph felt through the seats/body. Wheels are balanced, props ok, etc so trying brake discs before moving onto fan viscous coupling.

My wife just bought some chrome washer jets but I think they too blingy! ;)

Have you seen this thread on Detailing World Forum: Range Rover 4.6 HSE - Detailing World

Seems he's really gone to Town on his 4.6 HSE!

I've never heard of Plasti-Dip but just seen video on Youtube. Seems simple enough. I wonder how hard wearing it is compared with 3m Vinyl wrap?

Well, they use plasti dip to wrap cars and wheels, so cant be that bad I guess, especially for interior use. I was thinking of using the plasti-dip, then a few layers of laquer on top to give a bit of shine.

Just got to get brave enough really.

Ok, decided to try the Piano Black look and very pleased with the results thus far.;)
Next step is to flat with 1200 wet & dry, then T Cut and polish when the surface has hardened. Hopefully you can see a photo but not sure if I done it right.
