Yes. They do and as Gratch said they are on a switch. If its not working check the switch and wiring though - its quite obvious power to bulb in back of the instruments.
Should work ok - check the bulbs and the switch above and to the right of the speedo. My switch has just gone faulty and I'm debating whether or not to replace or just bypass 'cos I can't see much point in having it.
