When I open the nearside front door the interior light fails to come on however it does come on when I open any of the other doors, why would this be?
There is no visible interior light switch so where does it get its signal from?

Could this be linked to my spurious "Why" problem post?

regards,

Dave

there is a microswitch built into each door lock;)

how do I repair or replace that then? Where about's in the door lock?

Dave

Get the door card off and check wires going in and out the door to the inside of lock for damage/voltage/continuity.
Get the lock off and give it a good check and clean.
Might be easier with a second hand working unit from someone like Emmots.
:)
I had the same with 2 of mine at first ,but the car had been off the road for a while and after blowing out with an airline all is good ,for now !!
