I have a number of minor issues with a P38 I've just bought (2000/X), the first of which is the passenger side interior light switch - where is it? When I open the front passenger door the interior lights don't come on, though they work with the other doors.

I'm hoping that a sound poking with a finger or screwdriver will fix the problem?

Hi, there are microswitches in the actual door locks themselves you may have to remove door lock and replace microswitch. If you do a search it has been covered many times. Paul.

Have a look at the white connector behind the passenger footwell side panel on the A post, may be broken/corroded wires/connector

Ive got a similar problem, driver side, but my lights do come on, after about 30 seconds of the door being open. Which is really annoying because i know it works, but i never have the door open that long in general day to day use!

I have the same with rear passenger door - comes on a few seconds after opening instead of instantly. Will go off quite quickly after opening too.
