the wifes pug is due for renewal in a few days.... rang post office insurance this morning.... answered the questions and confirmed i had her consent to discuss it.... right you want 450 from my credit card to renew ... meerkats start at 207..... sorry sir we cant get anywhere near that... (po is no 6 on the meerkat list at about 220)..... well dont renew then ..... ill need that instruction from your wife.... im telling you not to take the renewal from my credit card..... but only your wife can cancel the policy..... but im not canceling im telling you not to renew using my card..... i can only take that instruction from the policy holder......

anyway ive now taken a policy for 207 with barclays.....provided by xxx insurance services.... who it happens also provide the post office insurance services.....

There is a definate theme going here....

I do not know of anyone that has stayed with their insurer from the previous year! Seriously, for the last 18 months all I have heard is "crazy renewal price, shopped around and esily beat it"

What is going on? Cos a lot of the companies people are moving from, people are going to as they have the best quotes??

Do you reckon something has happened in the boardrooms to share the policies around more??

I got my Landys insurance renewel through today. My insurance last year was £300 with ALL mods declared and covered. This year my renewel is for £334. I actually think that rise is acceptable in comparison to how much things like bread, fuel, energy bills etc have gone up this year. I still won't be paying the £334 however. As Adrian flux guarantee to beat anyone elses quote I should be able to get the price back down again.:)
