hello after my insurance has gone up nearly £300 to make it £900 i was anonnyed, as i have 4yr no claims unprotected. this is with adrian flux

i have rang other compines like nfu, lancster, foot and james etc.
they have all said i am not going to insure me because i have to many mods for my age ??? isnt this discrimnation ???????

i could understand if it was expensive but to not give me a qoute is wrong !

so the reason i have put this post is to get other people with landys or any other car that they have been refused insurance! for Age reasons!

im 21 and like i said have 4yr no claims ?

so like i said im going to write to my local MP and ask them why this is ? and see what they say... and if i can have other people who can say it and not just me they may listen !!

Not going to get you anywhere. You have asked them to insure you, and they have declined the business as I presume they regard you as too high a risk (rightly or wrongly). Would you be happy if they said, "OK, £9999 then". Wouldn't really help would it?

You can't force a business to take on what they believe is unprofitable business!

It is time that the insurance companies in the UK were looked at indepth, as at times it really does seem that drivers are being ripped off. A person can drive at 17, can pass a PSV/HGV at 18, and are unable to insure a vehicle, for less than it's worth. I fear that WLM is quite right in regards of the MP.

It's a total nightmare
I should know currently being 18
I had a 1.0 litre micra: The insured it whilst i was learning for £800 passed my test. Remaining 9 months they added another £1500 on to the premium.
Came to renew, cost £2400
Had the car for another 5 months.
Then cancelled and got the landy, 2200 and that is with 4 relatives on as secondary drivers with 7years NCB on their other cars and no tickets/traffic violations.
If it had been just me on the insurance would have been 7000+

Oh and none of the Landy specialists would even quote
