Just had my quote through for renewal from tescos.

£525. Thats fully comp, me only driver with 8 years NCB. If i knock out the breakdown cover, legal cover it drops by a ton, £425.
Im 37, its parked on a driveway all the time, no points on my licence etc etc.
I think thats a bit over the top, what does anyone else pay?

i think tescos is haveing a laugh, try more than, my insurance is half that fullycomp. they also do breakdown for 85 quid.

try confused.com
think its your postcode thats doing the damage. the nfu wouldnt even do my disco 1 for my postcode.
best i got was £300 for 3rd party only. (no ncb, second car).

dependent on year of disco, i pay £185.00 a year Tpff for a v8, no no claims but the disco is a 91 and it's insured as a classic with an agreed value of 2000 and a limit milage of 6000 a year( only can afford to run it at weekends ) I also have my house insurance with them, £50 cheaper than anyone else i tryed.
Try calling firebond 08704440556

you must live on a scottish island. they just quoted me a telephone number style figure premium.

Got a quote through a broker, Sureterm Direct, who quoted me 312 through Norwich Union. Just got my quote back from Adrian Flux of 305.

So Tescos, who ive been with for a year quote at best 425.
A broker gets me 312.
Adrian Flux gets me 305.

I think Adrian Flux will be getting my money this week, thank you very much.

INCIDENTLY, Norwich Union do a special deal for 8 years or over NCB, but they dont list it on their online quote. Anyone with 8 years try Sureterm direct for the deal: 0845 20 20 230.

I could not get the theft cover part on my 94 200tdi untill I put a cat 1 or 2 alarm on it. Was not to impressed but did it anyway beter peace of mind.

Thats never been an issue with tesco for me on a Disco, they did insist on a cat 1 for my shogun though. But that blew up as soon as i showed it a motorway so i didnt even have the new policy before it went bang.

its bloody ridiculous. i just want basic legal cover for low miles per annum (second car). some places are quoting me over a 1000 quid.
i wanna pay summat like 150.

nope. not that bad here!
edge of salford. nice semi detached area.
but only a few miles from beirut.

Hi,

Try this website. You enter your details and it searches dozens of other sites for the best quote. http://www.moneysupermarket.com

Morethan has come out best for me at under £300 in recent years.

National Farmers Union has also been very competitive in the past, I've got nothing to do with farming, they seem to be specialists in Landrovers for obvious reasons.

Regards

Chris

NFU wouldnt touch me cuz of postcode.

Anyone tried this Admiral "multi car" policy, where you can insure 2 or more cars in your household, allegedly cheaper than seperately?
They are banging on about it on the telly.

nfu are expensive compared with confused quote of 50% less than what I am currently paying. Tescos use esure as their main broker so they are not going to be brilliant

Got a renewal notice from Direct Line which i have been insured by for some years now. Was shocked to see now now wanted £250.00 full comp with my full no claims status. Happened to be in the Post office next day and the lady at the desk handed me a POST OFFICE insurance enquiry form,. I contacted them on line and not only got a year full comp for £150.00 but they have just sent me a postal order for fifty pounds which is part of there deal. Now cost me £100.00. :) Can,t be bad. Offer ends soon. Check it out guys.
