Hi everyone,
I’m looking to insure my 21 year old son on my Defender 90. A few years ago, the NFU used to insure young drivers, but not anymore. Any ideas who might insure him for a reasonable price?
Much appreciated.

Forum sponsors Adrian flux may be able to help you out.

Some say had about them some say good, me Personally I was a customer of theirs for years including during a claim and had no issues, but others did.

Might be worth giving them a call

Forum sponsors Adrian flux may be able to help, some have had bad experiences with them, but I never did for the years I was insured with them

You all right @flat? or have you been hacked? having a conversation with yourself is sure fire proof you belong on here :D

Adrian Flux were the only insurance company l could find who would do agreed value on my 2005 Defender.

I use Adrian flux,I'm 20 on a Defender 90 and this year it was £850.
Mine is cheaper though as I have no rear seats.
Haven't had to make any claims, but never had a problem with them.

You could also try Hagerty and/or A Plan of Thatcham and put the 90 on a classic car policy - one can still drive 10k annual miles on a classic, maybe adding limited miles for your son to the policy.

I have a multi-car classic policy with Hagerty and they're very good with special requests/agreed values/named drivers...

Sticking your parents on policy as occasional drivers may bring the premium down and as these are not racing cars up your voluntary excess to the maximum you can afford.

My son is 21 and has his 110 csw with adrian flux. Interestingly his 1.4 corsa is insured on separate policy elsewhere, adrian flux were nowhere near his renewal quote, couldn't even get close!
