Hello!

Just contacted my insurance company as I am looking to get an A bar+ lights and they have said A bars are illegal (which I know is wrong) and that as I am under 25 I can't put any modifications on my land rover!

Is there anyone who has experienced similar problems? What companies would allow me to do this?

Thank you!

They are talking crap mate i am with adrian flux with lots of mods no problems and i am only 23

tell them they are liars and see what there response is.Then **** em off for someone else.

some insurance companies allow no mods. a bars are only illegal on newer ars since the rubber bull bars came out.

anyway, it came already fitted and you didn't realise it was a mod. surely?

Does that actually work in a bad situation? for example if you have a crash and you say "It was there when i bought it, i didnt know it was a mod". Wouldnt they just return with "hahahaha" and not cover you?

depends really. its a silly risk to take. depends how much you want that a bar. in reality shed load of cars drive around with mods and the owners don't realise. my sister bought an mx-5 with bodykit, coilovers, alloys etc and thought it was a special edition!!

I guess I am not with any specific insurer that deals with land rovers, I am with direct line, they do a good price though :) but are stingy with mods and anything even slightly difficult for them
