Very decent of them, smart business sense from them really as you are promoting them by proxy...

I just changed vehicles recently and i realised i had not disclosed a traffic light offence, policy had run for three consecutive years, yikes... anyway, i informed them of my oversight and apologised but to my disgust they wanted to backdate the 3 policies and load them with the now revealled offence, c u n t s wanted £70 PER policy extra,
In extremely fruity language i told them to go F U C K themselves and that i would not be a cash cow, and the only reason my oversight continued for 3 terms was because of the ongoing automatic renewal, anyway, long story short, they backed down and agreed to backdate just the current policy to the tune of £54, under the circumstances i think this was fair, ALWAYS disclose any offences, as in event of any claim you would be stuffed.

Jesus, £182.38 fully comp!! full NCB and 2000 miles per annum, I'm out of the country a lot

I use a broker called A-Plan. I've got the RR insured as a second car but with it's own stand alone policy. They mirrored the NCD on my daily driver and have let me gain NCD on the RR policy. So for an 02 Reg Vogue 4.6 with LPG I pay 238 a year with the policy now having 1 years NCD. That's 12k miles a year and insured for 4k. I'm 43 live in the sticks have a clean license and have a disability the DVLA are aware about but have decided to place no restriction on my car license but with a restriction on my motorbike license.

Isn't it a bummer when where you live bumps your insurance so much. Mind you the 100 quid saving for being on here is pretty cool.

Admiral told me that it was cheaper to register my P38 as parked on the street rather than the obviously safer driveway because "our statistics show that most Range Rovers are stolen from driveways"...

You would have to pay me more than £79 to drive a Peugeot :D:D:D

I had a peugeot years ago, a 309 Diesel in 'slash your wrists' grey metallic, was my first ever purchase with mpg in mind, after a month i punted to a mate, one i didn't like so much,,,,lol. He got rid quicker than i did.

Thats cos most rangerovers are kept on driveways lol
but still worth checking. .

Precisely! Keeping it on the driveway doesn't make it less secure, it's just most contributors to that statistic are kept as such.. Statistics are useless in the wrong hands, which insurance companies definitely fall into haha

To true, I had a Cheshire postcode (because that's where I live), when THEY decided I now live in Merseyside my insurance premium went up. Now I have a CH postcode (I haven't moved by the way) my premiums never went down!!! Rip off barstewards:mad:
