hi guys, and gals, which insurance company do you guys use for general use and green laneing, and do any of you know where there are some decent green lanes to use in lincolnshire market rasen area ,for a virgin 4x4 driver like me,:D

Have a look in the LR magazine's such as LRO. Try Adrian Flux or Sureterm Direct as an example as they do insurance to cover u off-roading.

Sorry can't help with the green lanes in Lincolnshire.

185 quid on my disco with mods and green lane cover. lancaster.
always been the best for me.
saying that performance direct just beat them on my 110 with mods at 105.00 for the same cover. gonna phone lancaster to see what they can do............

£430 is the cheapest i can get at lancaster for standand disco and no offroad cover. 7years ncb. how cum some ppl can get it so cheap??

fook knows, am on 5 years NCB, good postcode, garaged etc etc plus ill fooking haggle anything to the death.

Admiral for me, £350 ish for a 1999 4.0 litre V8 with LPG modification declared, 0 years NCB but not covered for off roading

Equity Red Star with euro breakdown based on Northern Ireland address (have house there too) think with legal no off roading is around £500 - two years NCB.

Oh 2003 TD5 all whistles and bangs spec auto in a lovely shade of baby blue....tinted windows look soooo cool against the colour sorry digressing!!!

did yer get yer breakdown with them to stig? seems like yer ok off road but they will bill you if the subcontrtactor need extra vehicles, equipment etc etc.

I'm just phoning around for quotes now.

Even though I'm using 12 years no-claims on the Disco, and one years on the TVR, and the TVR is group 20, the Disco group 11, the TVR is still working out a lot cheaper.

Lancaster £325 or renew with Morethan £182 full comp protected with 150 excess. So it's Morethan then.. it was £172 last year.

Swift was about the best for me - less thn half what I was paying CU for almost the same cover (the overseas use is restricted to four days before they charge extra, otherwise it's the same). You don't need extra cover for driving on green lanes: so long as you're using a legal public right of way it must count as a road, and even if not they have to cover you on private land - eg supermarket carparks.. What they don't usually cover is rallying and competitions. Not the same thing, surely?

Re: Green Laning and off roading in Lincs....

You could join us at Lincs Offroad Club, im a new member with them and they all seem like a great bunch of lads, had some fun times out with them already, bunch of us are going to the Landrover show at Peterborough next weekend plus an event at Stainforth Quarry ( cuse spellin ) for a proper 4x4 event on the Sunday next.

I was quoted £265 from Lancaster on a 1995 300tdi Disco. I've only 1 yrs NCB. Not garaged, fully comp.

£100 cheaper than my '93 Astra Estate.

You've got competition now though www.lincs4x4.com :D :D I know this guy and lets just say he's doesn't have many friends.

I was chatting to some of your members at Manby. It is your lot with the 40ft Septic showmans wagon isn't it?
