Hi guy's just to let you know i had a 1999 td5, i wanted to put an uprated sound system in my car, but the audio guy said you can't put after market system on the land rover amplifier, the only way you can do it is by replace the lr amp, so i should speak to your local audio specialist and see what they have to say. Sorry to be the bearer of bad new's.
Best of look.

In a similar vein, I have just bought a 98 Freelander and found an Alpine 6CD autochanger under the driver's seat!! I have read that this should work ok with the R770 unit(presumably fitted as standard?)....only problem being that there is no CD cassette holder in the machine!! Any ideas where and how much a replacement casette stack would cost? All ideas greatly appreciated.

Hi ther newby 4x4, if you get in touch with your local car stereo shop (good one, even halford's) they should be able to order you a new cd cassette. Alpine are a very good system, so part's are ready available at good outlet's. Sorry can't been any more help hope this is useful to you all the best .
