This is my first post of many i hope so go easy on me.lol

I want to install a double din headunit into my p38. The idea was install it where the factory original satnav goes. so i bought a p38 without a satnav (save on price, and i heard there not that good) so the one i have only has a cubby hole. but i have had a look an it doesnt pop out or anything there are people on ebay selling the Factory sat navs so i asked them how you install them they say cut around the cubby box.

i just wanted to know if anyone had done this before or if any one has any suggestions, an how much room is behind the cubby hole.

i dont do the off roading mine is for road only so i have to big wheels an loud system an i want a screen an sat nav to go with it. some my hate it but i love it.

anyway if anyone has any help that would be appreciated.

to save a lot of time and grief why not get a slide out screen/cd player and run the sat nav via that.

Rave CD have step by step instructions on how to remove the console.

have a search for 'car pc' they are double din but with all the functionality of your computer, plus more upgradeable storage than you'll ever need!

Cheers all sounds good. its going in for some work in a week or so ill ask the specialist about it an how much room is behind there.

jlslpinter you said rave cd have step by step instructions on removing the console where can i get these from??

car computer would be good worried about the room behind tho i had trouble installing my JVC KDX44 with all the wire behind it.

anyway if any has any more info would be a great help.
