I do recall some discussion about that, but i think it was a question, my eas levels with the door open, even though it shouldn't, yet the dash says the key is in the ignition when i open the door.
Still not got to the bottom of that one

Thats got to be resolved. Fiddly job but definitely worth it. Mine was gunked up originally with what I presume was dust/wd40. Cleaned out what I could and I scribble on my key with a pencil now and again (is graphine not lead)

What needs to be resolved though? It must be a connection somewhere, but no clue where. Somewhere between becm and eas i expect

Key in ignition when the door is opened is the gate in the ignition barrel not closing, spray in barrel with contact cleaner, use the key and give it a good in and out and on an off a few times, blow out with air line if available or just let dry then a little bit of graphite lock powder and jobs a goodun simples:D

Sorry, my point was, when the key is in, the dash registers the door opening and closing :p meaning the door switches are working properly
