Hi guys and the font of mostly useful knowledge!

Im looking to replace the gay accelera tyres my Disco came with, with something that will be suitable for all this snow that we are forecast! So, doing some digging came across the Insa Turbos........now these are remoulds, and I've always been told to avoid remoulds, but whats the concensus on them nowadays?!?!?!?!?

Good tyres, wear well grip well in mud etc but not the best for grip on wet tarmac if you like cornering like Colin McKray:D

I had the Sahara (MT) pattern on a Hilux and they were exceptional in the mud. Didn't do enough mileage to test them for wear but they did push the fuel consumption up (probably the pattern) noticeably.

Less grip than BFG ATs on dry tarmac but better than the teflon tyres it came off the boat with. I did at least have to have to try a bit to get the back end out in the dry :D

Would I buy them again? If I didn't have an excellent Pirelli spare already (meaning I can replace both rear tyres by buying ONE Pirelli) - yes I would. But I'd get a winter-rated version because that's when I need the traction.

Caveat: I don't drive the Disco like a sports car

pretty good for a remould, mine came with a set of new ones, but were pretty good in the snow last year, but less good on ice - but then even the BFG AT's I had on the previous disco were none to hot on bare ice.
saying that, when they go I'll be swapping them for either KM2's or Cooper STT's
