thank u , i know there crap on the road , i can live with that but what sort of milage do u recon i would get out of them

the sahara's are actually quite reasonable on the road.
dunno bout longevity though.

i have the insa turbo special tracks on my 90,they are superb in the mud i love em.on the road they make a loud whining noise like an old army landrover and i dont go above 50mph.havent tried stopping hard in the rain yet,dont think that would be good.i certainly wouldnt put them on if you do a lot of road miles..

I run Insa Turbo Saharhas on my Disco.

Good points;

There cheap
There pretty good in mud
They have reasonable self clean propertys
There not 'that bad' on the road, even when pressing on, and they do break away quite progressively.

Bad points;

I get a hell of a lot of 'wondering' above 65mph
I get quite a lot of tyre whine
Even in the dry, standing on the brakes reasonably hard will result in locking up
In the wet, there pretty poor. Nope. Make that very poor, especially when pressing on. lifting off the throttle mid corner will result in moderate amounts of oversteer, so be quick with your hands :eek: otherwise stopping two tonnes of Land Rover swapping ends can result in sweaty palms.

In fairness though, there just not an 'on road' tyre. With this in mind, I'd still reccomend them.
