Hey chaps,

Since one of my Cooper STTs blew out the other day and caused me to crash ive been looking at new tyres, obvs a Cooper to replace it.

Though in the future I was planning on getting some Insa Turbo Special Tracks on Steel Wheels for off roading, but the blow out has made me think just sell off the Boost Alloys & Spare + Tyres and get a set of STs but would they be alright as general road tyres?

May well be a stupid question.

Josh

Depends if you mind the noise from them! Landys aren't exactly quiet anyway.
They're not great in the wet either, no muds are though.

I know a guy who runs them all year round for his daily drive/commute to work (although its not too far) he says they handle alrite. They are pretty noisy though. You get used to it apparently...

They him well, although my kaimans are quiter and have better side tread :) would definitely recommend them :) don't use mine that much on the road but never really noticed a difference between them and my old all terrains

I have them on mine and I don't use it every day, I've had various tread patterns and I couldn't here any over my side exist exshaust.

I've run em on my 110 for the last 4 years with no issues. They are noisey but you do get used to it.

Cheers guys, Only reason why I asked is because I heard that running agressive mud tyres can ruin your diffs. Weather or not theres any use to this is another story.

Would I be on a limited speed?

Speed is limited by the size of your bollocks :p

I've been running insa turbo's on my disco for a little over a year now, noisy yes but I like it,handles good can still throw the old girl about if needed but slides in the wet! I will run nothing else on mine just m/t tyres and I travel 30miles a day to work.....and no I haven't noticed loads of wear like people say you get running them all year round. It's a landy there suppose to have offroad tyres on!!!
