Know you can for bikes and motocross, not sure for vehicles

Wonder if agricultural or lorry tubes (if they come in the size you need) are tougher than standard?

hi there.
argicultural tubes are slightly better than normal car tubes it all depends on what make you go for.

if i remember kingstone tubes where fine, we used them in jcb,s plant machines

after some to fit mudzilla 12.5inch wide on a 16 rim.
Pritty sure the one i gave my local garage is not so wide as its sunk in where the valve is...

I have used an old tube (sliced up around the internal circumference) and wrapped around a standard inner tube to provide a little more resistance to punctures on a motorbike for green laning.
Yep, I know heavy duty tubes are available for bikes but the above method is cheap which suits me being a tight arse...

there are slim valve ones, but you can get an adaptor for them.
If you have wide valve holes (usually on tubed rims) dont use slim valves without the adaptor, they will chafe on the edge of the hole and fail prematurely (ask me how I know :/)
I get my tubes from a local tyre place that does all the local agricutural stuff, only failures ive had have been ON road.
