over the next few days and weekend i will be taking out my inlet manifold, radiator and intercooler and giving them a good clean and flush does anybody have any tips of how to do it or things to watch out for this would be great

Inlet manifold and intercooler should be soaked ideally overnight in paraffin, petrol or brake cleaner. Make sure they are thoroughly dry and all fumes have gone before refitting (I use the wife's hairdryer). I also took my inlet manifold to local hot jet wash.

Radiator should just be flushed with low pressure cold water.

inlet manifold and intercooler i would sit in a bath of jizer then wash through with cold water and leave them to drip dry or heat them with a hot air gun,

before you strip the rad etc off i would run a forte cooling system flush Forté Lubricants through it then once you have taken the rad off rinse through with warm water, externally you want to use a fin comb to straiten any bent fins then clean it through with either some jizer or similar working from the engine side of the rad when you rinse use a hose with your finger over the end don't be tempted to use a pressure washer as you will end up buggering up your rad

my one tip is what ever you clean the intercooler with reconnect with out the top hose then run the car for 5 mins to blow out any fumes then reconnect
