If an injector had been replaced with a refurbed or new one by a PO, but the ECU hadn't been updated to reflect the new injector code, what would the symptom(s) be?

The engine can have some roughnes especially at high revs and it will mix up a bit the balance of all 5... might not be very noticeable depends on how much different is the code from the previous one and the fuel map version too

You could whip the rocker cover off and get the codes for each injector then get it plugged in with hawkeye etc and check the codes quite simple tbh
Fuel map would be in the ecu rather than the injector wouldn't it? So shouldn't matter no? Just asking

I have no idea what made me think of this today, it was just one of those "what happens if..." questions.

You have the nanocom , read the codes and then pop the rocker cover off and check, very easy to , just be careful refitting so it seals correctly and watch your torque.

Oh, the reason you thunk of it , is probably because it is running right and you need to think of the way it is going to bite you derriere next....LOL

Cheers

Once I get the ECU back and I've got over how good it is, I'll check the injectors to make sure they're coded correctly in it.
