hi all
new to the site but already looking for help my td4 53 plate has just had a new injector garage said it needed ecu resetting as it has a chip in it is this so cost to re map £200

not really, as yer got a td4, but i don't think yer gonna have to spend an extra 200 quid if you swap an injector no matter wot injun yer got.

plus i don't recall it appearing on here that you need to reset owt when replacing injector whether td4 or not.

Slobs correct [ther pullin yer pants down] changin injectors aint got nuffink to do wiff phooter. . . .yer mite ave sum fault codes, but thats just a reset . . . . tell em i got a fully armed rockit un a mutt thet dunt ever miss. . . . .un if they dunt behave they will get MINGUATED!!!!!

I have just changed an injector on my 2002 TD4 via my local 4x4 garage and there is definitely no need to reset your ecu.

Can you please itemise the events which led to the injector being diagnosed as faulty, e.g. The engine was producing black/white smoke, Lacking power, Knocking, Difficult to start, The engine management warning light came on etc?

Have the garage given you an itemised list of the steps they have taken to rectify the problem?

Is the garage an LR specialist etc?

In other words innocent until proven guilty. D..

When I get told stuff like that I phone around to check.

Had all 4 injectors changed on mine and there was no reset, and the did the calibration between the injectors and diesel pump for free...

Never heard of an injector having a chip in it

Thanks For Info Was Charged 345 For Changing Injector All In Said It Was Leaking From Top Anybody Know Of Good Garage In The Liverpool Area
