Okay, I know what it is and what it's supposed to do. Does it actually work or is it 'snake oil' for cars?

Not trying to cure a problem, the FL is running well but was thinking of it as a 'service' type thing to keep everything ticketyboo... Who knows - might even get more mpg / power...

I run on 95RON fuel, I have used on occasion 98RON and noticed a lift in performance. Would an injector cleaner do something like that?

If it's good stuff what are the best brand/s?

Miller's ecoboost works on my diesel.
Ecomax is the petrol equivalent, recommended it to my mate who has a 2.0 petrol focus, and he's well chuffed with it.
So yes I would recommend trying some.

Worked in my diesel which wouldn't rev passed 2500 rpm without missing.
Think here it was a good old fashioned brand like STP diesel injector cleaner, chucked two bottles in a quarter tank and it runs beautifully now.
I agree re fuel, always buy the best you can, it does contain additives that keep your fuel system clean.
Costs more yes but I proved many times I used to get 30 miles more on a full tank.
