My injection pump has suddenly developed a nasty leak from the rear end (from the plate holding the fuel injection pipes). Anyway I have booked the car in for an injection pump overhaul on Monday the 23rd however the specialist told me that he can do it earlier if I remove the pump myself. He also told me that if I am capable of changing a timing belt (which I am), I'm capable of removing and refitting the pump. Question is, should I do it or should I wait. I'm rather stumped without the vehicle but if it's going to cause me more grief, I'd rather wait. I've looked at the workshop manual and it doesn't seem to be overly difficult but I would rather get an enthusiast's point of view first.

not particularly difficult if you can remove crank pulley ,dont undo center nut on pump shaft just remove the 3 bolts

Not difficult at all really. Did the job in just under 2 hours.

Front crankshaft seal needs replacement. Can anyone give me a step-by-step guide?
