Just replaced my dripping MOT failing Fuel Regulator in the Disco 2 TD5.

On ignition on, fuel is now veritably ****ing from the new reg and I have yet to determine why (probably that the bloke who fitted it is an incompetent dolt - i.e, me).

So here's the question - once removed, can I re-use the (squishable) gasket, and could I supplement it with some gasket sealer just to make sure, and if so, whats a good deisel friendly version.

Cheers....

If I had something leaking like that I would be replacing the fpr gasket.

So I went and bought a new Gasket, assuming I'd bent or mis-installed the first one.
Put it all back together again and....

Fuel ****ing everywhere.... GRRRR

Got the wife to turn the key with me underneath, and guess what? Its not ****ing from the gasket seal at all, but from the brand new FPR!!! Double GRRRR! its coming out of the small bell held in place with a circlip - must be faulty straight out the box. That'll teach me for buyng a BritPart just cos it was more convenient.

The worse of it is that I could have got a LR one for the same price this morning when I went and got the new gasket (cos my local supplier was closed). Triple GRRRR

So it'll be off the LR on Monday for an OEM part and back to BritPart in the afternoon!

Mine started leaking from the bowl after refitting following HG replacement. Bizarre as I only undid the 3 bolts and refitted it. Replaced with a new Genuine one for £100

They are a right PITA
