@mick 1986
You sorted it yet? Remove screws/bolts out the plate & turn the seal upside down.re fit making sure not to pinch between plate& pump.
Mine went & it drops diesel by the litre in minutes.
Good luck

I haven’t looked at it yet. I finished nights this morning and couldn’t be chewed. I will get on it tomorrow.

How long did yours last with the seal turned round? Is there anything that can fall out if the opening after the plate is off?

Okay Mick , if the seals are the same both sides I think I might have one in a drawer in the shed , if you live near to Stafford?

Thanks for the offer. I’m nowhere near unfortunately. I will try what @Hicap phill suggests first, but I have plenty of Buna O rings laid around if it doesn’t work.

@mick 1986 nothing fell out & still there 5 years on. Make sure you don't pinch the seal.
I changed the torx head to bolts for ease next time.
Just been into the shed to look at my spares where I took the seal from for the photos :oops:

Much appreciated. Swapping the bolts is something I had thought about, but wasn’t sure if the threads would be non-standard. Is that the side away from the engine, closest the wing, in the photos?

Finally got off my arse and fixed this! The original O ring was ****ed. It looked like it had been out once already, and chewed by a mouse or the likes. Anyway, I had one in my imperial set, it’s only Buna-N, but good diesel resistance.

It took around 40mins to do, but I blame @Hicap phill for that. If I used the original bolts, it would have been a 5 minute job, but I needed to get some M6 x 20mm bolts to replace the ****ty torx originals.

See easy job.glad your up & working . check tightness in a few days.

You should have asked the length of the bolts I would have saved you 30 mins ;)

Yeah I should have. Never mind, it’s sorted now. Thanks for the help and heads up.

I’m trying to source another pump now, for less than £200, to strip and overhaul.
