Have you googled the registration number to see if there are any historic images online which might show where it was stationed. Or perhaps contact HM Coastguard the,selves to see if they have an archives dept who might have some records? Or even an ex coastguard vehicles club/forum, or ex staff association to see if anyone has knowledge of it?
