I'll give it look tomorrow, at least I feeling more confident tackling fault tracing on my new toy. It was like a snakes wedding when I opened up the rear panels in the boot, but you guys are a godsend thank you for the help so far.

I worked on nuclear submarines for 20 years and they seem less complicated than a L322!!

Thanks again and let u know how I get on.

Ha
Love this !!
:p

Their not so complicated beasts once you get to know them :)

Found the problem with the dash board warning about hand brake light.:)

Took the drink cup holder out and found broken wire that attaches to a little copper clip had snapped. Can't quite see witch bit it has come off as when you put it back in the hole the dash board light stays on all the time regardless weather the handbrake is on or not.

Any pics or answers to fix the problem?

Cheers

Just checking but have you actually checked the bulbs are not blown. I'm only saying this because a lot of clever manufacturers (not sure if LR are one of them) actually feed a lower voltage to brake lights when rear positional lights are blown as a back up. When you look from behind they appear to be working but the wrong lights are lit (if you get my drift).

I've checked all the lamps, no faults found. I think it's the light control modules or a poor earth. Not had chance to check them yet. The message system was showing front fog lamp and main beam faults now. I've just upgraded the front side lamps to LED lamps (they are no fault lamps CANBUS) they look great and give off loads more light than the old lamps. I did have a job to get the Near side lamp off as the Plastic wingnut Had completely rusted up, May have to invest in new ones.

Does anyone know where and how to test the LCM?

Substituation I think!

Really??? so what needs to be setup? Lamp type etc...I know the mileage is also recorded in the LCM....hmmmm intrigued to learn!

yep, i think it also stores the mileage in the BCM for backup purposes.

i remember when i changed mine, i had to upload the old settings onto my laptop then re-sync them over to the new LCM.

mostly general settings like, puddle lamps fitted, fogs fitted, etc.... follow me home light settings...

Ahhh...more enlightened now...the complexity astounds me!!

Apologies for dragging up an old thread but as a long shot, did you get to the bottom of this, found loads of threads with the same issue but none with a solution, have the same issue

my problem was caused by faulty LED number plate bulbs that were literally melting and the plastic surround for the bulb holder, changed back to filament bulbs and all my errors have ceased
