Hi does anyone know any good independent garages that do good work on landys/range rovers in the Bristol,devizes, chippenham area. Have a p38 that needs new heater o rings.

::angel:It already started with a new back bumper, new tyres and then having the cables fixed on the drivers electric headrest. But must say the O rings seem to be the biggest bugger.
Lol as you in wiltshire, know any good garages?

FBB at Steeple Langford are a good place, dunno how local to you they are though.

Thanks guys.
I get the funny feeling that I may be visiting here a bit in the coming months as all the niggles get sorted, so as long as you can put up with blonde lady with the technical knowledge of well trained cat, then we will get along fine LOL

He's not the cheapest indy but he does do a good job. He used to be the landrover assistance guy in Bristol so has a good knowledge of them.

Yeah that sounds like what is needed. And basically anywhere will be cheaper than main dealer.

You're not joking.

Main dealer wise, MJ Fews in Charfield is the one that has always the best customer relations. They've always treated customers the same whenever I've been there. Regardless of the age of their vehicles.

Thanks greg phoned FBB today and its going in for diagnostic and hopefully all the work done. Really good price quoted compare to the 700 quoted by a land rover franchise!!

Have you googled replacing your o rings? You're probably getting quoted high prices because autodata tell you that the dash needs to come out so requires loads of man-hours but it's possible to replace the o rings without fully removing the matrix. I come across a good link the other day but I can't find it on my phone, next time I'm on a computer I'll see if I can find it again.
