D1 maybe they will fit a P38 but not a D2 they have R/H thread and rotate in the opposite direction. ;);)

Odd, had D2 written on the box! Fits OK. Done a fair few thousand miles since. Still got the old one ... in the shed! Figured I might source a new core for it one day.

If it was a D2 fan it would not fit. D1 will but not D2. 200Tdi and 300 Tdi will fit TD5 won't.;)

Just done another 1000 miles and north of Yekateringberg now and you can tell its getting close to Siberia as the roundabouts are the size of small countries mosquito's the size of Sikorskys potholes the size of witches cauldrons and sausages wrapped with plastic skins and the people go out of their way to be helpfull and friendly
Just booked in today to go up the leaning tower of Nevyansk don't think many tourists get to see this part of Russia
If you want to see more of our trips in the P38 follow this link.
http://www.travelpod.com/members/bennybeanbear there are over 3000 photos on it.

Sounds like fun... most of my Russian friends have never been that far East!. You should be sure of a warm welcome. Last time I was over the other side of the Urals, people couldn't have been friendlier and showed me everything from empty shortbread tins to pictures or our Royal Family and even a Paddington bear.

As with everywhere else in the world, there's the occasional Irish Bar in Yekaterinburg, but I recommend the Stroganov Grill on Belinskovo Ulitsa if you get a chance to stop in town for food.

Just shows it's seldom the peoples of the world fall out. The politicians do that for us.
