I know I know dont go to France but I am here with a p38 4.6 which drives like a peach until you go over 80 mph it seems to be trying to shake itself apart there is no wander brakes in a straight line but there is a bit of slack in the front diff could this be the problem ? any advice will help as have to make the return journey at ensd of week

no replaced them with Hardy Spicers a month ago and they are good as gold they one on the transfer box end was completely knackered and wondered if it was masking a problem in the diff suppose could remove the prop and see if vibration disappears.

Stay under 80mph which is the legal limit on the autoroutes. Under 80 = no wobble, over 80 = you may loose your car, they are getting hot on speeders here.

Sort it when you get home.

ive recently driven to the alps from kent in my 98 P38 auto lpg. she didnt put a foot wrong. i did the whole journey with cruise control set at 70mph and all was fine. did 2 tanks of lpg and a 3/4 tank in petrol to mix things up and give the engine a rest from the lpg.

love the french roads/ motorways and 70mph isnt that different to 80!!

will heed advice and come home under 80 I do loads of miles over here and in Germany usually over a ton all the way on lpg too. I am just not happy with any vibration on the motor it means something is fooked or thinking about being will let you know what I find when I get home and get it in the air and inspect everything underneath.
