Long story short:
day 1: trip to country in BMW X5 > camshaft bust > stuck in country with no transport > forced (by wife) to buy new car > trip to nearest showroom = Land Rover Authorised dealer > March 2013 RRS fallen-in-love-with, bought and driven away > back to London >
day 2: bastards nicked rear lights > this will obviously keep happening 'cos the screws are in the wrong place / too easily accessible by thieves > need ANOTHER new (2nd hand!) car > REALLY liked the RRS
Questions:
1. Is there a way to stop thieves removing the rear lights from the March 2013 RRS? If so, I'll keep it.
2. If not, would the same thing happen with a "full" Range Rover built in late 2010 to 2011 specs? (the screws seem to be placed on the side rather than straight-in from the back, so I imagine it would be harder for thieves to get at 'em).
3. If a "full" Range Rover 2011 would be safe from that point of view, does anyone have a view on the wisdom of putting down ~£40k for a 2011 (actually, December 2010 but with 2011 spec) TDV8 4.4 Autobiography with 70k on the clock?
