Just to update:
I've Fitted a new 'Green' coloured connector OSF wheel sensor, all the warning lights went out (to begin with!!!). Oh great start me thinks!!!! So there's definitely a difference between the later green coloured sensors than the earlier blue ones. They look identical, so assuming it's something to do with the resistance, or Bemma Vs Jag derived motors.
So.....off down the drive, ABS kicks in a bit for NO reason, and all the warning lights in the world appear on the dash.
So, it's had a new OSF wheel sensor, New OSF reluctor ring (all appears aligned up and sitting fine) and on Hawkeye throwing up fault in ABS ECM "C1A94" right front wheel speed sensor alignment or adjustment incorrect looking on The manual 'sensor alignment incorrect/sensor air gap incorrect'
EMS is throwing related faults 'right front wheel speed sensor' and 'vehicle speed sensor 'A' signal compare failure'
So...... She is obviously not happy with the new reluctor ring/ wheel sensor.
I've not found anything that mentions re-calib anything whilst fitting new sensors or reluctor rings only about using test book to "check" ABS system after fitting new wheel sensors.
The drive shaft where the reluctor ring was seated was very, very corroded/rusted away. Was cleaned up and new reluctor ring fitted as old one was pretty trashed.
Having removed the sensor again, checked the reluctor ring whilst rotating hub all the way round ( it all appears FINE) my thoughts are that the wheel sensor is sitting slightly further away from the reluctor ring due to not having the 15years worth of rust pushing it out (I'm only talking 1 or 2mm than the other three wheels, assuming they are still on the original reluctors too), hence it's throwing a fault as it thinks the wheel is turning slower than the other wheels.
Left me Scratching my head here with this one, before pulling the hub apart again any other thoughts are most welcome and much appreciated???
Cheers!
