Front-wheel speed signal received Currently not (I think it was available)

Got this from a Hawkeye, can I get easy access to this sensor and unplug it/plug it back in

Would this mess up the PAS and HDC

A duff sensor will fault the HDC/ABS/EAS systems....steering *maybe* not.....

As I posted in your ither thread, easy to get to, sod to get out sometimes.

Look at the wiring to the sensor and also the connection which is under a little 'box' mounted under the wheel arch....the wiring has been known to chafe through....but sensors are cheap and simple to replace, just one allen bolt and a bit of levering to get them out....penetrating fluid soaked overnight helps.

Thanks mate, I have ordered one on Prime to arrive tomorrow, do you know where I could find an image of 2 showing me where it goes. (I know I know should of stuck with computers)

FYI Just to be aware, I've been looking at ABS sensors and there seems to be two different part numbers for the front ones depending on your year.
The difference I believe is in the plug connector colour, blue and green ones... Apparently they are NOT interchangeable.

HTH.

Oh poo, I have a 2002, is that blue or green

The same part number for 2002-2005 brings up either a blue or a green connection I think it could be just supplier specific, I do my 2002 (52) has blue connections as I had them out a few weeks ago.....but I honestly don't know of or think there is a difference.

Reason this was bought to my attention is I had a dodgy wheel bearing on my 2005 SC, cut a long story short...(don't ask...) Ended up fitting a whole new used hub/knuckle/ bearing/sensor assembly from a 2002 TD6.
The original one from my '05 SC was green.....the TD6 one was blue..... Didn't think anything of it until it was all back together, however now I have it throwing up a ABS light fault along with all the other l warning lights associated..... Fault showing is the sensor.
So looking into the basics..... I read the green and blue are not interchangeable.

Leave it with me and once I've sorted it I shall let you all know the outcome (either a dodgy sensor from the TD6 or they are not interchangeable!)

I have a blue onway for my 2002 TD6. Mine is doing all sorts of crazy things, from PAS playing up, warning lights and sometimes the front feels like the drive shaft isnt happy. So I am hoping its this sensor.
Plus HDC is inactive

Looking at various suppliers....it appears that 2002-2005 (up to 5A999999) is the blue and 2006 MY (6AXXXXXX onwards) is green.

Cheers Ant, kind of confirmed what I had read/researched.
I've just had a tinker with mine.....managed to get the blue sensor out of the 2002 hub currently on my SC, which looks like new ( it literally fell out believe it or not! The green sensor is literally stuck in my old 2005 HUb and won't shift, that's with the hub removed and trying to push it out, literally!)
Ordered a new GREEN one so hopefully get that fitted Sunday and will keep you guys posted .

PAS playing up....in what way?? I'd be very surprised if a wheel ABS sensor would have anything to do with that....
