I got to the station tonight to find my zapper was not working, unlocked the door with the key and she would not start just sounded the alarm. My wife came over with the other remote and same result. Therefore not a remote problem and from the sounds of all the bells and whistles not a battery problem.

Have read threads and manual on emergency key access code and do not have this as bought second hand. Is this my only option? And what would have caused this? Will try to get the code from the dealer in the morning but would like to try to stop this happening in the future if it was something I did, my daughter was dicking about with the passenger door lock yesterday but she started fine this morning, there was a lot of water ****ing on me down the driver sill this morning if that rings any bells with anyone.

This may sound a bit silly but did you check the basics such as battery voltage on the vehicle?

When was the plip battery last changed? when was the spare fob last used?

I think it was all the rain we've had. Our Lola went berserk on Monday. Kept sounding the alarm every twenty minutes or so. I decided to give up and just lock it with the key, but every time I turned the key, it sprang back to open.

In the end, we left it unlocked all night. Took her to the dealers on Tuesday. They tested her Tuesday and Wednesday, but couldn't find a fault.

Fortunately, it hasn't happened again.

Low battery will do the same thing. check key fob battery and your battery after setting over night

Lola is brand new...so surely the battery would be okay...no? Plus we have just come back from Devon and she has had lots of motorway runs.

Esm xx

If Lola was brand new surely she would start???

If you put a brand new set of batteries in a torch and then left the torch on all day, would you expect it to work that night?

Have you ever bought summit new, found that it doesn't work or it's damaged and then had to return it for a refund or replacement?

New and working are 2 different things altogether. Never assume just cos summit is new it therefore works.
