MY P38 engine has been immobilised, cant undo it, any ideas of.Key fob doesnt work and the key only opens the drivers door?I have got a p38 Range Rover 4ltr petrol 1996. The receiver has failed on the alarm/immobiliser hence the engine is disabled. I have several questions what is the cost of a new receiver ? The part number ? Is it any easy fit ? Also can the immobiliser be bypassed ?
Many thanks

EKA required? Any messages on dash? Has the RF receiver been unplugged to try and avoid RF interference? Key might need resynching. Or microswitch might have failed in door lock actuator.
Probably doesn't help that i unwittingly parked it next to my gate and garage door fobs and three feet from my alram and camera transmitter? Will get the EKA code today. Message on the dash is engine immobilised. Will disconnect the rf cable when it stops raining. Its a 2000 model so key should resync when i put it in the ignition? Changing the key batteries today. Any idea how i check the door actuator ms?
Thanks so much for the reply
