Hi All,
New to the site but thought it would be handy as I have an old Freelander I'm doing up.
I'm not a mechanic at all but have had my fair share of old cars to get some practice on.
I am desperately trying to find a transponder receiver ring (see attached) for my Landover Freelander TD4 GS. ItÂ’s a 2001 reg X332UUA which I believe is the BMW engine?
I have taken the part off and it is a rover part and it has no cables attached it is just the coil with a 4 pin connector that connects to the wiring loom under the steering column.
Has anyone ha any experience with this? I am sure the ring is the problem as I took the chip out the key and held it closer to the receiver which worked for about 6 months.
