Hello I brought a land rover discovery 3.9 v8 1998 es model. I got it back home and turned the engine off and when I came to turn it over again and the immobiliser won't go off the fob don't seem to work either it locks and unlocks just does not turn off the immobiliser I brought a spider wire loom put that in and still the bloody immobiliser won't go off. Please can someone help its doing my head in
 
Similar thing happened to mine Tony.

Gave up after a week and took to auto electricians. The ECU needed reprogramming
 
have finally got it sorted somehow I fiddled with acouple of wires and messed with a couple of other things and thought I will give it a go and it started I am so happy :) ripped my hands to pieces but well worth the pain lol next job clean it up and get it though the mot
 
It's probably you spider they work when cold but once warm it will prob fail again. you can repair the circuit board if you take it apart you will see a soldered joint that is cracked, re-do the joint and all will be well.
