Hi everyone, the alarm/immobiliser on my 1993 Disco V8 has been playing up,sometimes pressing the keyfob button, the light on the keyfob will flash, but the doors remain locked needing repeated presses on the button to unlock the doors. Tried using the key to unlock ,the first try the door unlocked, but the alarm went off. Normally using the keyopens the doors, and disarms the system.Problem seems to have started since I fitted new batterys in the keyfob. The system now appears to be working as normal.Does anyone know how to disconnect the system and the immobiliser,so I can revert to just using the key? Thanks, Phil.

If you set with the fob you have to unlock with the fob.
The system will operate without a fob so your fobs are not required just use the key. It's better I think to use the fob so just check the battery is located properly and no iffy dry joints in the fob, you can always try reprogramming the fob it's a DIY function the procedure has been posted in the forum.
