Got new receiver in post today. But still nothing from fob(with new batt.). Wouldn't be surprised if it's not even the right fob (seller was scammer).

So immobilised at home in Nailsea. Any enthusiasts able to sort or recommend who can come out. Can pay of course.

Or anything else I can try? I see talk of bcu and fuse box . Which ones? Seem to be several!

Hi Ranzo, just read your post and wondered if you have solved the problem. I have just encountered something very similar. Key fob stopped working, checked battery, fuses etc. Bought new rf receiver as recommended; still won't work. Currently ripping off internal panels and checking all the earth points!

Hi Simon, Nice to get a response! Just ended up talking to myself!
Yes, I saw that people were using Rick at Callrova in Brighton so I sent my ECU, BCU and fob off to them and for about £220 including postage both ways, they got my fob talking to the ECU/BCU.
When I got it back, I plugged it all back in , connecting battery last, had to leave it for 10min and then it unlocked and engine didn't start. I had a look at the battery which had a bit of a loose negative connection accidentally pulling connector off. When I tried again, it roared into life! Now it's time to get copies of metal key and elec fob in case I loose either. Overall, very pleased now!

Hi Ranzo, pleased to hear that you've got the motor working again. I looked at their website and Callrover seem to be a very knowledgeable oufit, I might well do the same as you and get everything re-programmed. At the moment though I have managed to borrow a Nanocom from a local chap who isn't on Landyzone but is a proper off-road enthusiast with a monster of a Disco2 with all the kit on it. Anyhow I had a play with the Nanocom and disabled the immobiliser and changed a couple of alarm settings and now it starts! The system also lets you test the RF receiver as well and mine failed, no signal received from key fob. I shall drive it for a bit and see if it behaves itself! Cheers.

Glad you're sorted Simon. Yep, my receiver had failed too.
Lucky to have found someone with a Nanocom. I'm considering buying one myself as I couldn't find anyone around Bristol.

I would view my nanaocom as a master key and the most important tool to have on a p38.
Every couple of months the bitch throws a wobbly, lockout, engine disabled, either fob button stops working then starts again.
Bloody thing. I love it.
Good luck.
