Wot about the Q7 V12 TDI, I know they dont make em anymore but, I have only ever seen 1 on the road I prefer V8 petrol but would make an exception for 1 of them.

I think it's funny you lot pick on smaller vehicles to make yerself feel yer rr is betterer. There's nowt wrong with the Evoque being called what it is, a rr. You lot choose to see it as a problem. A rr is just a big Freelander with simular things going wrong. The only difference yer paid a lot more for it when first buying it and the repairs are five times the cost. Am sticking with freelanders. Even Clarkson agrees they is good.

Have to say, old boy, I question the logic of that.

For a start, I don't even have a Range Rover, and haven't even been in one for about 20 years. But I still think Ejokes are ridiculous.
TBH, I would question whether some Range Rovers deserve the badge, they bear almost no similarity to the original Classic concept.
And I don't think it is a size issue, you could stick a RR badge on a mahoosive truck, and it would still be ridiculous.

I don't object to their size or them being called a Range Rover, I just think the Evoque is pig ugly, to me the last Freelander is much better looking.

Easy Tiger..... :D

We have to be very careful on taking the rise out of the Freelander....

The Freelander, along with the Later Series Vehicles, the 110, The Defender, The Discovery, The Range Rover Classic and the L322 Range Rover all proved themselves in either the Camel Trophy or the G4 Challenge....and conquered their adversities will aplomb.

The P38 Range Rover was never subjected to such gruelling challenges.....they did do a odd Yellow/Orangey/Yellowy coloured Range Rover called the Range Rover TREK for some 'competition' in South Africa - but that wasn't exactly the wilds of Madagascar or Borneo etc....mostly dusty roads and a few hills.....

The Freelander has earned it's place in the Pantheon of Land Rover - even if it is driven by hairdressers - but they are hairdressers with spirit and adventure!
