Hi guys, have never owned a Land Rover before but I am eyeing one up at the moment.

Its a 1995 Disco 300TDi (Seven Seater)

Needed a bigger car for the kids and this seems a nice alternative to a regular people carrier.

However I need to know whether it's an ES, XS or S model for insurance purposes and I haven't a clue.

I'm thinking ES, as in possibly standing for Estate, but is there any way to find out for certain?

Cheers.

hello matey

im prety sure ES = european standard

as in the standard spec for a european vehicle

im may be wrong tho?

Ok, thanks.

It seems to be a bit of a guessing game with this one.

The car I'm looking at has the ES style alloys and air con, but it doesn't have a 'fancy' trim as other ES models I've seen.

Really like this particular car I've seen but my insurers are being very pernickity lol!

Everything sorted out now thankfully.

Here's hoping I'll own my first Land Rover by tonight. Looking forward to it, never had a 4x4 in my life.

If I get it i'll put some pics up.

:)

Welcome James

You will love your new toy, although be prepared to get your hands dirty as well as your tyres

Hopefully you'll get the bug and want to go out green laning, it's great fun

I've just put them in the gallery in my profile. Changed my profile pic now tho so hopefully that'll work lol.
