I have used Waxoyl for donkeys years but I like the idea of this. I assume I can use my Waxoyl injector which I use off my compressor with the stuff.
Just how likely is it to get onto glass, I never get any overspray on glass normally with Waxoyl so why would L/oil be any different?

Perfect , linseed oil it is then, thanks BB.
Ive done a quick google and there isn't really anything bad being said about it.

Boiled and thinned to aid drying else you'll end up with everything stuck to it.

Dunno about double boiled, I'm no expert. I just did the front where the underseal was peeling badly and squirted some inside.

Yes they'll be run off. I laid down bits of old carpet but it's a lot less messy than waxoyl. The last time I tried that stuff I might as well jumped in a bath of it

Its not actually boiled, it used to be many many years ago like in Edwardian times or before, from what I gather they added lead or some sort to the oil but it had to be very hot to create a reaction, nowadays with modern what nots there is no need to boil it.
So ''double boiled'' sounds a bit of bollecks to me.

Maybe you could boil it yourself in an old pan if you wanted, I've heated paint in the same way before to make it more usable to paint a van with a roller.

Lead oxide was a colour pigment, jappan black was a drying agent they used, you don't want to be heating that in a pan.
