That small amount of petrol wont kill an engine when mixed with a full tank of diesel. Not that long ago lorry drivers had to put petrol in their tanks in winter to stop the diesel waxing.

We still do!
But less often these days as diesel fuel is less waxy, and winters don't seem to be so cold.

Been driving a wagon for years, the only thing i put in my tank apart from diesel is a syphon tube:D :D :D

Hi Andy,

How have you got on since putting petrol in your tank ?

Have you had any issues, did you get to Blackpool OK ?

What advice have you taken from above and has it served you well ?

Hi Docksy,

The car has been fine. I topped up with diesel twice before filling up again and setting off to before I set off to Blackpool.

All went well all the way there and back so I guess the car hasnt been affected.
