Very fancy. I suspect my Mondeo 12 plate will be worth about as much as the diagnostic tool your after :D

I hope not, I was thinking around the £400 mark.

Cheers
That's the non pro version, I was looking on their website after reading your post. Mondy should be worth more that that. However, it has 143K miles on the clock. A few minor, but visible dings. It got caught in a hail stone storm of biblical proportions last summer in Southern France. So, when viewed at the correct angle, looks like it's been taken to with a ball pein hammer. It's also got an intermittent CAN Bus fault which puts it in to limp mode. Occasionally, it says it can't detect the key or the key is outside the car, this can hamper the push button start. Other than that, it's in mint condition. ;)

The IID tool is the same, regardless of the supplier, so get the cheapest. ;)

When you register the IID, it automatically updates to the latest firmware, and any vehicle specific data.

You'll not regret getting the IID, but make sure you get the Bluetooth version.

You won’t regret buying the GAP and definitely BT version, although I seem to remember they dont do the wired one now. But check, somebody may have an old stock one going cheap.

Oh and you’ll love the car too:) hope it comes together.

Rightio,

Anyone had any info on the cheapest place to buy the IID BT gap diagnostics tool?
Current front runner is Duckworths @430 or so.

Cheers

There was a guy mentioned by @gstuart on the disco forum doing bulk buys not sure if he’s still doing.
He was selling at a slight saving.

@neilly

hiya

have put a link in my other post , same company sell them for £405 inc vat and delivery through the D3 forum

hope that helps

Be aware that if you buy second hand, then you'll need to buy your vehicle license from Gap. IIRC additional licenses are about £50, but it's a while since I bought one.

I have just received and set up my iid.
I have managed to reprogram a couple keys, which was part of the reason for getting it. The other particular thing I wanted to do was to enable the 4 wheel drive info on the centre touch screen.
Has anyone else done this?. From what I can gather it is to do with a "reflash of an ECU" any advice on this please?. On the GAP user manual it mentions Bell Auto Services for the upgrade?.

As you ask so elegantly you may ask what ever you want.
It is a Discovery LR3 on a 2007 plate.
Regards

Don’t know about the D3, maybe it would be best start a new thread in disco section as a good outcome maybe of help in future, rather than lose it inside this thread.
